The BE Consultancy is a culture building organization, which means that we help to build and sustain a positive culture within an organization. All organizations have a culture, but oftentimes these cultures are rooted in negative values centering a hyperfocus on production and a lessened focus on people. Our work helps to center a positive culture centered on people, wellness, community, and care, especially for organizations whose work is centered on doing good.

When workplaces center wellness, they provide care, support, and community. When people feel the positive effects of those values, they come to work feeling as though they belong and are important, not just as people who produce but as people who are simply that, people. When employees feel belonging, they are led to produce more and better. Workplace wellness is a win-win for both people and employers!

This varies based on the client's needs but a full BE Reset package for organizations is typically 6 months. One-off trainings and sessions would be much shorter. For individual coaching, those sessions are typically a package of 7.

Yes, absolutely! We offer coaching sessions primarly for people of color struggling with identity, microagressions, imposter syndrome and more in the workplace. We also have a Fundamentals of DBIE course that anyone can take to sharpen their knowledge about diversity, belonging, equity and inclusion.

In the history of our country, the voices of people of color have often been pushed to the side and marginalized. Stories have been erased and community narratives forgotten. At the BE, our work is that of racial equity and healing. It is extremely important to us that we uplift these voices deliberately and ensure that their stories are being centered first and foremost.

We are able to work with any organization with leadership and staff who are truly ready and willing to do the hard work of facing their personal histories and confronting their internal biases. When folks are able to truly focus on the baggage that they may be bringing into interactions, they can then focus on community care, wellness, and healing, thus leading to a promotion of equity. If your organization is majority white but able to do this hard work, we are more than happy to work with you.
Anti-Black racism, which specificially devalues Black people and their contributions, does not just affect Black people. It marginalizes all people of color, especially those with darker skin and more Afro-centric features. It does not just affect people of color. It affects everyone. It affects the choices we make, the way we move, the way we interact with each other, where we settle, how we carry ourselves, what our expectations of others are, and so much more. It is the water in which we all swim and the basis of generations of negativity.
Belonging is a crucial addition to the DEI framework because it emphasizes creating environments where individuals feel valued, accepted, and respected for their unique identities and experiences. Without a sense of belonging, diversity efforts can fall short, as individuals may not feel included or empowered to fully contribute. By prioritizing belonging alongside diversity, inclusion, and equity, we ensure that all voices are not only heard but truly valued and embraced within the communities and organizations we work with.

As a partnership of 3 Black women with decades of experience in the DEI, youth development and counseling fields who also have lived through overt and covert racisim inside and outside the workplace, we approach our work with a perspective many other firms can not. We are collborative so working with us means working with our combined expertise. Our credentials speak volumes, but our real magic is interpersonal - we listen, we understand, we advocate, and we lead with love.

You will feel challenged, awoken, loved and supported and to quote one of our clients, you will also feel "heard, validated, and respected."
